Since my recent life theme has been dealing with adversity and coping with challenging situations. Healing has been the focal point of these past few weeks. Following this trend, I decided that today I wanted to discuss a recent entry I journaled.
“Well…lately I feel as though (lately) God has been challenging me—
My entire thing is to help people & spread kindness, mindfulness and positivity through my work— I feel as though the Lord is highlighting the fact that some mistake this kindness for foolishness.
I cannot have those kind of people in my life and so I have to do what is best for me.”
How often have you felt as though you were being taken advantage of? One of the biggest downfalls of being kind is that some people will come into your life like a thief in the night looking to steal from you. If you’ve seen my scopes or follow me on social media, you know that I am all about symbiotic relationships. I believe that we all have the tools to uplift one another and that is the way that life should be.
While I love to help people and generally do so without asking for anything in return I cannot cope with the idea that some people actually believe that I have to do something for them. What bothers me the most is when people come ripping down doors demanding that I do something for them when nobody on God’s green earth is obligated to doing anything they don’t want. That includes me.
While I sat pondering this situation I came to the realization that there are far more people who actually appreciate me than who use me (shout out to Natasha!) and for these people I am forever grateful and I want you to be too!
Remember that despite what is happening in your life at any given moment you are loved. You are relevant. You are important and more importantly, you are appreciated. And even when no one else is, if anything, I’ll be there.
